Tsering Tsomo: "When I was in India I was in college. We didn't have to keep track of money. Now, after coming here, I have to be careful about money. I have to pay rent, pay bills, save money, so I can visit my family…I became more careful about money…[My child] is the best gift I have ever gotten in my life. He makes me laugh, he keeps me happy…I burn incense and make offerings in the morning to the altar. That way he can see me in the mornings--what I am doing--and imitate me."
