The mandala you see here is by Lobsang Samten, a former Buddhist cleric, who currently runs a Tibetan cultural center in Philadelphia. Lobsang Samten is well-known throughout the world for creating numerous mandalas from memory.

From March 8, 1998 to April 19, 1999 Lobsang Samten and his assistant Thupten Chonyi constructed a six foot square Kalachakra Mandala at the Museum of International Folk Art.
